Olda began his career in the film industry in 1968. He worked for Film Barrandov in Prague as a focus puller. He worked for DOP's such as Jaroslav Kucera, Miroslav Ondricek, in addition to many others. Working on nearly 40 films including George Roy Hill's 'Slaughter House V'.

From 1968 through 1996 he worked as a Cameraman. Most of his work during this period was on Feature Films, TV MOW, and TV series in the Czech Republic and Germany.

In 1996 Olda started his own company, 'Art Film Foto Video'. Here he is the owner and operator of Jimmy Jibs in the film industry.
